LWB Sailing provides professional coaching and instruction across a range of dinghy and keelboat classes, serving sailors from developing juniors to experienced competitors. Founded by Leo Boucher, the program takes a comprehensive approach to athlete development, combining technical boat handling, boat speed, tactical decision-making, and physical preparation to help sailors reach their full potential.
Leo brings a unique perspective to coaching, shaped by years of international competition and experience working within collegiate and high-performance sailing programs. From 2023 to 2026, he served as an Assistant Sailing Coach at Yale University, working with collegiate athletes in a competitive varsity sailing environment. His coaching experience also includes developing high school 420 and ILCA sailors and preparing athletes for major national and international competitions.
Boucher's coaching background includes working with sailors at events such as the Laser Youth World Championships in Cork, Ireland, Laser Nationals in Miami, and the Orange Bowl International Youth Regatta. Having competed at the highest levels of the sport himself, including the Olympic Trials, he understands the technical, physical, and mental demands of competitive sailing.
At LWB Sailing, the objective extends beyond improving results at the next regatta. Each sailor is encouraged to develop a deeper understanding of the sport, build confidence in their abilities, and establish the technical and physical foundations necessary for long-term success.
